Structural Organization of the Association

The General Assembly and the Executive Committee are the organs of the DVWG.

The General Assembly is the highest organ of the DVWG and an assembly of members in the sense of §32 BGB. It consists of elected delegates from the District Associations, the chairmen of the District Associations, the chairmen of their Young Forums and the members of the Executive Committee. Any member may participate in the assembly and rise to speak, but may not vote. The General Assembly elects the members of the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee leads the DVWG adhering to the association bylaws and the resolutions of the General Assembly and forms the Board of Directors in the sense of §26 BGB. Main task of the Executive Committee is in particular the deliberation on all important and basic matters concerning activities and business management. The Executive Committee consists of the President, up to 3 Vice-Presidents, the representative of the Young Forum elected by the Young Forum and up to 4 assessors.
