DACH Conference 2026
In cooperation with the 8th EUSALP Mobility Conference
Under the title “Our Alpine transport network: removing barriers, connecting regions”, the two-day conference programme will address key challenges and future perspectives of Alpine passenger and freight transport, as well as cross-border infrastructure planning.
The conference will open with a joint plenary session featuring a keynote address and political debates. On the second day, parallel sessions will focus on central topics relating to passenger and freight transport. Interactive discussion formats with active audience participation, as well as technical excursions, will complement the programme.
We are particularly pleased that State Minister Christian Bernreiter will open the conference.
Every two years, the three sister transport science associations from Germany (DVWG), Austria (ÖVG), and Switzerland (SVWG), under the coordination of the European Platform of Transport Sciences (EPTS Foundation e. V.), jointly organize the DACH Conference. Following the successful conference held in Innsbruck in 2024, the DVWG will host the event in 2026. The DACH Conference 2026 will take place jointly with the 8th EUSALP Mobility Conference and is being organized in close cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport.
